Fall Splash warm-ups will take place while the October Invite is finishing in the main competition pool. We appreciate everyone's patience as we transition between meets.

Parents, please write your swimmer's Event, Heat, and Lane on their arm before the meet begins.

This is especially important for our younger swimmers as they learn how swim meets work. Coaches will be busy running the meet and will not be available to help swimmers look up their event, heat, or lane.

A little preparation ahead of time helps everyone enjoy a smooth and fun meet!

Where Do Swimmers Report for Their Events?

25-Yard Events

• Swimmers will report to the bullpen located near the large American flag.

• Volunteers will help organize swimmers and get them ready for their races.

50-Yard Events

• Swimmers should report directly behind the starting blocks for their assigned event, heat, and lane.

Swimmer Seating & Pool Deck Access

Swimmers are welcome to sit on the pool deck with their teammates or remain in the spectator stands with their parents between events.

Parents and spectators are asked to remain in the stands. Only swimmers, volunteers, coaches, and officials are permitted on the pool deck.

All events will be seeded FAST to SLOW.

Swimmers should know their Event, Heat, and Lane before reporting behind the starting blocks. Parents, please help your swimmers mark this information ahead of time, as coaches will be busy running the meet and unable to assist with heat and lane assignments.

Important: 400 IM & 500 Freestyle

Swimmers entered in the 400 IM (Saturday) or 500 Freestyle (Sunday) must positively check in for their event.

These swimmers are also responsible for providing their own timer and counter.

Pool Deck Access

Swimmers, volunteers, coaches, and officials are the only individuals permitted on the pool deck.

Parents and spectators are asked to remain in the stands throughout the meet. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and organized competition environment.

Spectator Entry — Clear Bags Only

CLEAR BAGS ONLY FOR SPECTATORS

Georgia Tech has enhanced security procedures for spectators entering the Campus Recreation Center.

• Spectators will enter through the Stadium Seating main entrance.

• Two metal detectors will be located outside the entrance.

• Remove all items from your pockets before walking through the metal detector.

• All clear bags will be screened.

• Leave unnecessary items in your vehicle.

• If the detector alarms, security will use a handheld wand.

• Please allow extra time to enter the building.

Swimmers do NOT go through spectator security.

Swimmer Check-In & Pool Deck

Only swimmers, coaches, officials, and meet volunteers are permitted on the pool deck.

When swimmers arrive on deck, they should find and check in with a coach from their SwimAtlanta location.

Swimmers may stay on the pool deck with their teammates or sit upstairs with their families between events.

No Bullpen — How Racing Works

If you're coming from summer league, this is one of the biggest differences:

There is no bullpen at a SwimAtlanta meet.

Swimmers keep track of the meet and report behind the blocks for their correct event, heat, and lane.

It may sound intimidating the first time, but magically, it works! Kids catch on quickly, and coaches and volunteers will be around to help.

If swimmers are sitting upstairs with their families, please help them keep track of the meet and return to the pool deck with plenty of time before their race.

Families can use Meet Mobile to follow events and results from the stands.

Results shown in Meet Mobile are unofficial and may not appear immediately. Use the final heat sheets above for your swimmer's event, heat, and lane assignments.

As always, if your swimmer's coach gives instructions that are a little different from what is listed here, follow your swimmer's coach's directions. Each location or group may handle certain parts of the meet a little differently.

Thank you for entering the 2026 SwimAtlanta Long Course KickOff. We are excited to welcome swimmers, coaches, officials, and families to Georgia Tech Aquatic Center for a great weekend of long course racing.

Due to the size of the meet and to help keep the timeline running efficiently, teams have been divided into sessions each day.

Chase Starts & Starting Procedures

Chase starts will be utilized during both sessions throughout the weekend.

For all events 100 meters and longer:
• Odd heats will start from the diving well side of the pool.
• Even heats will start from the scoreboard side of the pool.

All 50 meter events will start from the scoreboard side of the pool.

Volunteer Timers Needed

We are asking for volunteer timers during the Midday / Afternoon Sessions. Every team has limited opportunities to race in a 50-meter pool, and we greatly appreciate everyone helping make this opportunity possible for the swimmers.

As a bonus, we will be giving away Speedo Tech Suits to two lucky volunteer timers during each session.

Important Meet Information

Please note that the diving well at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center is currently closed for repair and will not be available during the meet.

The leisure pool will be available for warm-up and warm-down throughout the weekend. For safety reasons, all entries into the leisure pool must be feet-first.

Important Reminders

• Pool Deck Access: Only officials, volunteers, swimmers, and coaches are allowed on the pool deck.
• Competition Pool: Swimmers will compete in the middle pool near the diving well.
• Parking: Georgia Tech does not offer prepaid parking. Please plan to park in the parking deck next to the aquatic center (credit card only).

Security Procedures

• Security Screening: All spectators will go through a security screening process upon entry.
• Metal Detectors: Spectators should expect to walk through metal detectors.
• Plan Ahead: Please arrive early and allow extra time for entry.

• No PrePay Parking:  Parking deck next to the pool & visitor parking lot will be open.  They will be Credit Card only.
• Deck Access: Only swimmers, officials, volunteers, and coaches are permitted on the pool deck. Spectators must remain in designated seating areas.
• Timers Required: Swimmers are responsible for providing their own timers for the 400 IM, 500 Free events, 1000 Free, and 1650 Free.
